RESEARCH TOPIC

"Amines Detection with Innovative Protocols Based on Diarylethene Probes"

"The project focuses its attention on the detection of amines, using an accurate colorimetric essay based on diarylethenes (DAEs). Amines detection is of fundamental importance in order to reveal environmental hazards, survey food quality and hygene conditions. Our efforts are directed to enlarge the library of diarylethene probes in order to achieve: i) higher detection limits, ii) lower quantity of the active form of the switch at the photostationary state, and iii) eventual detection of other relevant biomolecular markers."
