Orthogonal switching devices

Extending our long-term work with the Samorì group (ISIS-ULP Strasbourg) we have been merging photoswitchable and ferroelectric functions in organic transistors, in order to fabricate memory devices in which information can be written and erased independently by light or electric fields. The new devices provide accurate control over readout, fast response, high retention times, and excellent repeatability. The work has just been accepted in Advanced Materials.
