Svante Ihrig

Svante Ihrig's research is focused on the mutual relation between photochromic properties and electronic structure of photoswitchable molecules. With support of the SFB 1349 he is employing fluorinated imines for probing the strength of fluorine-based interactions by measuring the impact on certain photochromic values. Besides that he is implementing an organocatalyst into the structure of a diarylethene in order to modulate its activity and selectivity through the change of electronic structure that comes along with the process of photoswitching.
