New Strategies for Spiropyran-Based Dual-Color Initiation

Spiropyran-based photoswitches have been widely studied for light-controlled processes, yet their efficiency and selectivity in complex environments such as volumetric 3D printing remain limited by side reactions and incomplete mechanistic understanding. Our focus is to explore and investigate new strategies using triplet sensitizers to enhance switching efficiency, combining computational modeling to identify targeted molecular designs with experimental validation, ultimately developing stable and efficient dual-color initiators for volumetric printing.
